T H E  PORT  CHARLOTTE  CULTURAL  CENTER

The Fun Begins Here

People who utilize the Port Charlotte Cultural Center programs and services do not conveniently fit into any category. They are men and women, boys and girls, the wealthy to those struggling to make ends meet, professionals to laborers, scholars to dabblers in the arts, the employed, the unemployed and the retiree. What do they have in common? The joy of getting out, meeting new people or old friends and having fun with each other.

The Port Charlotte Cultural Center is a focal point for educational, cultural, recreational and social activities in Charlotte County. A volunteer Board of Trustees, comprised of community leaders governs the Center. The Cultural Center complex, located at 2280 Aaron Street, houses a 418-seat theater, the Port Charlotte Public Library, an Activities Center, Continuing Education classrooms and the offices of the County's Veterans Service Officer. Operated by a paid staff of approximately 30 people and a volunteer staff of over 1200, the Cultural Center facilities have helped to enhance the educational, recreational, physical and mental well-being of residents and visitors for 30 years.
