Very Special Arts

An arts festival for the county's exceptional students -- art stops, drama and dance workshops, musical performances -- lots of fun and creative opportunities for learning. At Charlotte Harbor school in April, 2005. Public is welcome. The event is free.

Aid to the Cultural Community

Over the years, the Arts Council has granted more than $231,000 to non-profit arts groups, artists and teachers for the purpose of furthering the enjoyment of music, theatre, and visual arts in this community.

As a result, well over 45,000 students have been exposed to fine arts, music and entertainment as have some 100,000 adults (at no cost.)

Charlotte ARTS

Our bi-monthly newspaper lists activities of our member groups. The Charlotte ARTS is published by the Council and inserted into the Charlotte Sun Herald to reach a wide audience. The paper keeps you abreast of what's happening culturally in the county.

The Arts & Humanities Council also works with local business and civic groups to promote Charlotte County as a great place to visit and invest in. We welcome arts groups, family/individual and corporate members who believe in that a lively arts community is good for everyone.
