Burnt Store Meadows :

National statistics show that police departments are able to provide only a limited amount of protection; therefore, in conjunction with the Punta Gorda Police Department:

• Burnt Store Meadows has instituted its own additional security.
• It's an ongoing successful operation that is working for us 365 days a year.
• National statistics also show that every 25 volunteers involved in the program equates to one police officer in crime prevention effectiveness

Punta Gorda Police Department:

• Provides lectures on crime prevention with two seminars each year.
• The topic? How not to become a victim of crime.
• Newsletters about crime protection frequently are delivered to our residents.

Neighborhood Watch programs:

• Are a great way to meet your neighbors...
• And provide a community service at the same time.
